DeskBot is an excellent application that has the ability to read practically any text from any application window in Windows systems. It reads texts right from the clipboard, announces time and does much more, through animated talking characters that can be changed.

Different options are available, like interval settings to announce time, double click the character to start reading or right click menu option. It can read from web sites, text documents from notepad, Word or Excel.

This application is totally customizable for it can greet you on startup, or change the voice and language for its characters, as well as pitch, speed, balloon Font and Style and much more.

It will run quietly in the system tray, where all the settings can be changed. Even though it is only available for Internet Explorer as an add-on, it’s very useful as it adds a "Read with DeskBot" item to the mouse right-click menu on a web page. The character, voice, language, balloon, and other advanced options can be customized.

Compatible with Microsoft Windows 98/2000/XP/Vista.
